WELCOME!!

Our mission is to provide the recovering addict and alcoholic with a healthy, safe and clean environment to reenter life, giving the support and structure of a sober environment, allowing the newly recovering addict a safe haven. While the addict or alcoholic works to maintain long-term recovery, our House mission is to bridge the gap into a positive daily living routine. We currently offer five locations in Annapolis Maryland, all of which are on the public transportation line and are close to many employment opportunities.

Why We Do What We Do

In 2011 the Director of Serenity Sista's knew that women needed a safe place to go after treatment. A dream was formed, and in 2012, the first Serenity Sista's house opened.
Knowing that recovery residences hold an important place in the recovery process, Serenity Sista's created a model that includes; a warm environment, the 12 step process, structure, mentoring and life skills needed to sustain long term recovery. Our houses allow for the personal growth of a woman in early sobriety, giving them a necessary safe and sober environment to learn in. Our peer support helps to teach women to really use the tools they have learned in treatment concerning sobriety. We have cultivated a place to learn responsibility and accountability through living with peers and guidelines provided upon entry. We provide the necessary environment for a newly sober person to learn healthy recovery habits and consistency that is key in early sobriety, and will last a lifetime.

Serenity Sista's is a proud member of  the Maryland State Association of Recovery Residences (M-SARR.)  As a statewide membership association, M-SARR and its members are committed to promulgating the role and benefits of supportive housing as a continuum of care. Expanding the voice of recovery across Maryland, and enhancing the recovery community’s role and position as a true “constituency of consequence".

M-ROCC (Maryland Recovery Organization Connecting Communities) has done a fantastic job of helping communities assist one another.
